Now that initial COVID-19 vaccines have received emergency use authorization from the Food and Drug Administration, what does this mean?

We recognize that not everyone may understand the medical terminology used in announcements, or that you may have hesitancy, or even suspicion about the COVID-19 vaccines based on rumors or being part of a disenfranchised population that has experienced medical or research abuses either here in the U.S, or from another country.

The University of Maryland, Baltimore is committed to increasing health literacy and diversity, equity and inclusion. We want to know what’s on your mind and how we can help answer or provide a better understanding of the COVID-19 vaccines, how they work, the approval process, their availability and options available to students and employees when it comes to being vaccinated.

Your comments and questions will help influence future communications from UMB about COVID-19 vaccines.

Note: You may not receive a personal response through this form as it is intended to help make decisions about future communications.
