What parking garages can students park in for the 2020-2021 semester?

For the fall semester, UMB students can park in the Lexington Street Garage (660 W Lexington St), the Baltimore Grand Garage (5 N Paca St), or the Penn Street Garage (120 S Penn St) at the student daily rate of $6/day for registered parkers. Parking in the Lexington Market Garage Rooftop (400 W Lexington St) is also available at a rate of $45/month. Registration information for the Lexington Market Garage Rooftop can be found here. Students that have not registered in the parking program will pay the prevailing visitor rate when exiting any UMB garage.

Do students need to be concerned about these parking garages reaching capacity?

Student parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis, and Parking and Transportation Services does not guarantee parking spaces. Due to the decreased campus population during the COVID-19 pandemic, we do not anticipate any parking issues in any available student garages.

I saw a notice that parking rates in the Lexington Street Garage were recently raised from $6/day to $9/day in the Lexington Garage. Who does this apply to?

Before September 28th, any member of the UMB community could park in the Lexington Street Garage for $6/day by taking a ticket at entrance and paying $6 upon exit. On September 28th, this rate increased to $9/day. However, students can receive the same $6/day rate by registering for parking and using their linked UMB OneCard to enter and exit the garage. See the information below on how to register for parking.

I am new to parking on campus. What is the process to register to park?

For new students or those who have never registered for parking on campus:

First, you must register online ($5 fee) using this link using the instructions described here on the UMB PTS website (see “Instructions on how to register online”)

Next, make an appointment online to link your UMB OneCard to the parking system. This appointment can be scheduled using this link and must take place at least 24 hours after you complete registration and pay the $5 fee. On the day/time of your scheduled appointment, bring your UMB One Card to the Parking Office located in the SMC lower level Room 002, so it can be linked to the parking system. You will also receive your parking permit at this time.

For returning students who previously had parking on campus:

You must renew online.

What other options are available for students to get to campus during this time?
