Our 2020 UMB Hashtag Is #2020UMB, but check out some of the pictures from last year!
Interim President Jarrell's Welcome
Commencement is by far the best day of UMB’s year. On this day, we celebrate the culmination of a lot of hard work and, yes, the beginning of much more.
For on this day, we send our graduates out into the world to fulfill the mission for which we’ve prepared them: Improve the human condition and serve the public good.
Last year, we ushered in a new commencement era at UMB. Instead of commencement ending UMB’s multiday graduation activities, last year it began them, with amazing results. So we will follow the same schedule that drew record attendance in 2019. The Universitywide commencement ceremony will be held at Royal Farms Arena on Thursday, May 14, at 9 a.m.
On that day and on May 15, UMB students, families, and friends will again “take over” the city’s Westside with a wide array of activities and ceremonies to mark the commencement of more than 2,000 graduates in medicine, law, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, social work, and biomedical, health, and human service sciences.
Check back on this website for updates on our Commencement activities. Congratulations, UMB Class of 2020!
