Student Campus Climate
The results are in!
On Monday, February 25, 2019, we held the first Student Campus Climate Presentation. Students, faculty and staff learned more about the results from the survey and engaged in preliminary action planning.
Download the following resources from the presentation:
The University of Maryland, Baltimore is committed to providing learning environments where all students can excel.
The information you share will assist individuals from across campus in learning about your experiences as a student and will inform the development of initiatives designed to positively influence the climate. You will be asked to share information about your experiences with diversity, inclusion, and any forms of harassment.
The survey takes about 12-15 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, you can enter your name to be eligible to win one of several Beats products. The survey will be open Feb. 7-28. The University will receive the results in June 2018. During Spring 2018, a campus climate taskforce will be created to determine how the results will be shared with the UMB community and to begin outlining strategic efforts to address areas of concern.
UMB is committed to creating safe and healthy environments that are free of discrimination. If you have any questions about the survey or campus resources, please contact Courtney Jones Carney, MBA, director of interprofessional student learning and service initiatives, at Courtney.Carney@umaryland.edu or Mikhel A. Kushner, JD, MSW, executive director of diversity and inclusion/Title IX coordinator, at Mikhel.Kushner@umaryland.edu.
Every member of the UMB community plays a role in creating safe and welcoming environments!
