Do you need to install Microsoft Office or Windows software on a computer you just bought?  Or maybe upgrade your existing software?  How are you fixed for Symantec Anti-Virus protection?  If you are a currently enrolled UMB student or a paid UMB faculty or staff member, the CITS Software Licensing Office should be your first stop for software shopping. The stated purposes of this office are to “take advantage of the University's purchasing power to negotiate the best possible price and value on volume software purchases” and thereby “assure the availability of site-licensed or educationally-priced software to members of the University of Maryland computing community.”

Software from a wide range of vendors is currently available for Departmental purchase and use on University-owned computers.  But numerous versions of Microsoft Office and Windows, as well as current Symantec Anti-Virus software, are also available for installation on personally-owned machines.

For further details and ordering information, visit the Software Sales and Licensing website, or stop by their office in the HS/HSL Library Building, room #540.
