PFC Tony Price joined University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Public Safety to help people and make a change in his community.

“Some people have a negative perspective of police, thinking we’re just here to take people to jail,” he says. “By treating everyone with respect and having positive encounters with our community, I hope to change that perspective.”

Price spent two years as a police officer with the Baltimore City Sheriff’s Office before joining UMB Police and Public Safety. He attended the police academy in Anne Arundel County. 

Now at UMB, Price enjoys interacting with students. “My advice is to finish school, even when it seems hard,” he says. “It’s a light at the end of the tunnel for greatness.”

Outside of work, Price enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and playing sports. “I enjoy learning new things to better myself,” he says.
