PFC Andrew Davis joined the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB) Police and Public Safety last year. Within months, he received a LifeSaving Commendation. 

The officer spent 22 years with the Baltimore Police Department before joining UMB Police. He enjoys the pace of being a police officer.

“Every day is a new day,” says Davis. The officer says his greatest achievement is becoming an instructor, and he leans on his training during times of challenge. 

Davis says he became an officer to help people on their worst days. In the future, he hopes to become a sergeant and then lieutenant. Outside of work, he enjoys working on garden tractors.
