Security officer Keina Calhoun can be found inside Health Sciences Research Facility III greeting employees, students, and visitors to the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Calhoun is proud to have served as a security officer for 17 years!

“My favorite part of the job is meeting different people,” she says. “Any challenges that arise, I face with a positive attitude and problem-solving skills.”

Calhoun has faced several challenges over the years, but her most memorable moment is working during an earthquake!

Colhoun continues to look for opportunities to learn and develop her strengths. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with family and watching cooking shows!
