In accordance with the UMB Hot Work Procedures, please complete the form below prior to performing any hot work at the University of Maryland, Baltimore (UMB). Hot work includes all welding and allied processes, heat treating, grinding, thawing pipe, powder-driven fasteners, hot riveting, torch-applied roofing, and similar applications producing or using a spark, flame, or heat.

This form must be completed at least one business day before beginning hot work. For work occurring within one day, please contact the UMB Office of the Fire Marshal directly at 410-706-3494 after submitting the request below.
