Digital Business Cards

Are you looking for an innovative way to share your contact information while taking steps to protect the environment? Having a digital business card may be just what you need.

A digital business card is a physical card that uses near field communication (NFC) and a QR code to transmit information across devices. You carry one card with you, and if you forget your card, you can still access the QR code.

A digital business card also has cost benefits. Not only is the cost less than a box of paper business cards, but if your information changes, it can be updated easily with the digital card platform. There’s no need to buy new cards.

The University recommends that you use the company Sitch to order digital business cards

A Sitch Card can be tapped (NFC) or scanned (QR code) with phones to share business/social cards, forms, files, links, and much more.

You can order a card with the UMB logo or your school logo on it. Just indicate which you want at checkout. We recommend you order for your department at one time, because the more cards ordered the less cost per card.

Sitch has an informational website that can show you how the card can be used https://sitch.cards/ and a get-started PDF

If you have any questions, feature suggestions, or wish to use a different company that will need branding approval before purchasing, please reach out to: Hope McGovern, assistant director, Marketing and Communications, Office of Communications and Public Affairs.
