Jane Sellman, Writing Center consultant, has excelled as both a published author of fiction and non-fiction and a university professor.  Her writing credits include articles for The Valley Times and The Times Herald and four books for elementary school students for Reading A-Z.  Her career in academia includes teaching at several universities among them Temple, Morgan State, UMBC, and Towson. Ms. Sellman earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Morgan State University and continued her education with coursework from Johns Hopkins University and St. Mary’s Seminary, Ecumenical Institute. Currently she works as an editor for a Baltimore agency. In her free time, Ms. Sellman can be found cheering passionately for the Baltimore Orioles. In quieter moments, she writes short stories and poetry.  She also is also an avid collector of weird place names.
