Women's Health Research Grant Program

The year 2005 marked the ninth year of the Women's Health Research Group Grant Program, which was established in 1997 (and funded for the first five years by a generous contribution from Parke-Davis/Pfizer) to promote interdisciplinary research in women's health and to encourage new investigators at University of Maryland, Baltimore in study of women's health issues. The WHRG has awarded 62 grants for a total of $444,079 during the nine years of the program.

See Table 1 for a break-down of the past awardee ranks and Table 2 for a break-down a of the past awardee UMB schools.

The WHRG regrets that we will not be holding a competition in 2006 due to a lack of funds to continue our grant program.
