Biography:  Born in Houston, Texas, Lewi was raised in Ethiopia until the age of 18. He came to the USA in the summer of 2004 and attended Montgomery College in Maryland for two and half years. During his time there, he was involved with several clubs as well as the Student Senate where he served one term as Student Senate President from June 2005 to May 2006. Currently, he is a senior at University of Maryland, Baltimore-School of Medicine, pursuing a B.S. in Medical Technology.

In his spare time, he loves to read, meet new people and learn new and interesting things about science, people, history and different cultures. He loves the outdoors and physical activity. Lewi is also very interested in recycling and green living, medicine, and the amazing human body.

This coming year, Lewi looks forward to facing challenges head on and making a significant contribution to the USGA and Student Life at University of Maryland, Baltimore.
