Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) Senator

2008 - 2009 E-mail: ddeca001@umaryland.edu Biography: Hi, my name is Deborah DeCaro and I am a second semester Clinical Nurse Leader
(CNL) student at SON. I am currently President of the new student chapter of
AcademyHealth called “SUPER”, Students United for Policy, Evaluation and
Research. We are working on sponsoring some events for the Fall. A little
about me: nursing is my second career. I received a B.S. from UMBC in
Information Systems Management. I worked in the computer field for many years
before deciding to return to school and change careers to my first love,
Nursing. I have always been interested in helping people achieve a healthy
life. I grew up in Middletown, MD which is 50 miles west of here. I now live
in the city with my dog, not far from the school. I am enjoying the city life
when I am not studying. I enjoy music of all kinds but mostly songs with a
good beat to dance to. I enjoy the museums, theater and restaurants available
in Baltimore and wish I had time and money to partake more often. That will
come after school. This year I am looking forward to working with the USGA.
