The auction was to raise money in hopes of supporting 30 law student grants to serve the underserved. MPILP tried to put forth a good faith effort in advertising and were under the impression that a member of UMB relations would take care of advertising. The e-board was not aware of the USGA News requirement until it was brought to their attention by a law school senator that the event needed to be advertised. The event had over 300 attendees, with about 80% students. Clarification from Tom Dunn: MPILP was approved $2670 and after 60% penalty, $1068. Motion to reduce penalty to 30%. Amendment to reduce penalty to 15% did not pass (10Y, 20N). Original motion for a 30% penalty passed (26Y, 3N, 1A). B.
