Pre-Kwanzaa Celebration: A celebration of family, community, and culture. Kwanzaa, a non-religious holiday, is one of only two nationally recognized African-American holidays in the United States. As an organization dedicated to the promotion of African and African-American contributions to the world, cultures and traditions, USAD realizes that it is important to expose the UMB students to all facets of being Black in America. The purpose of the Pre-Kwanzaa event is to educate the campus and community on the principles of Kwanzaa.
