It's time for USAD Elections. If you've enjoyed any of our events or just want to become more involved with your campus community then consider being a USAD officer. Nominations will be accepted until May 14, 2010. Nominate yourself or someone else by sending a name, email address, UMB school, and USAD position to usad@umaryland.edu. We welcome people of all backgounds. Officer descriptions provided below.
President. Presides over USAD meetings. Delegates duties to other members.
Vice President. Performs all duties and responsibilities of the president in his/her absence, including serving as acting president until the next election, should the president resign or be unable to fulfill his/her duties. Advises the President on matters relating to the USAD.
Secretary. Records the minutes of all USAD meetings and keeps a roster of members of the USAD.
Treasurer. Plans and oversees fund-raising activities. Establishes a proposed budget and presents USAD applications for funding to the USGA. Oversees all the expenditures required for the efficient running of the organization.
USGA Representative. Represents USAD before the University Student Government Association (USGA). Keeps the USAD membership informed about USGA business, including but not limited to funding applications and all other business discussed during USGA meetings.
Public Relations Coordinator. Informs the student body as a whole of the USAD presence on campus. Promotes membership. Collaborates with other student organizations in projects of mutual interest.
Special Events Coordinator. Initiates ideas on enhancement of traditional USAD events. Develops and presents ideas on new activities and programs.
