Mission: Nutrition

March 3 - April 7

A six-week student educational program covers all things nutrition, cooking, food labels, ordering out, nutrients, and more. Mondays and Wednesdays 5-6 p.m. in the SMC Campus Center.

Schedule* 

Week 1: Introduction to Nutrition & CulinArt demo on major food groups.

Week 2: Food product labels and trip to a local store.

Week 3: Cooking and food preperation for healthy eating & CulinArt cooking demo.

Week 4: Vitamins, minerals and nutritional food sources & Mindful Eating presentation with Michelle Pearce.

Week 5: Making good choices when eating out with a trip to a local food venue.

Week 6: Guest speaker & healthy potluck dishes made by the participants.
