Safety Education
Would you know how to react in an emergency? Are you aware that you are more likely to perform life-saving first aid on a family member than a stranger? Prepare yourself for the unexpected by taking one of our safety classes. Classes are offered throughout the year. Please register for all classes using Eventbrite. Payment can only be made at the URecFit Business Desk on the 4th floor of the SMC Campus Center. Please bring ticket to the URecFit Business Desk to make payment. Please bring proof of purchase to the Safety Education Class.
Adult CPR and AED
For the person who only needs adult CPR training, this hands-on skills training prepares them to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults. It also teaches the skills and knowledge needed to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). No prerequisites necessary. 2 year certification card upon successful completion of course.

Standard First Aid
The purpose of this course is to help participants identify and eliminate potentially hazardous conditions in their environment, recognize emergencies and make appropriate decisions for first aid care. It teaches skills that participants need to know in order to provide immediate care of a suddenly ill or injured person until more advanced medical care arrives. No prerequisites necessary. 2 year certification card upon successful completion of course.
