Dr. Gerald Lardner, UMB Writing Center consultant and communications specialist, earned his doctorate in speech communication from Temple University.  He taught writing at University of Notre Dame and presented workshops on public speaking throughout the United States.  Dr. Lardner was also a tutor-in-residence at the Notre Dame Centre in London, England.  More recently, he taught in Lusaka, Zambia, where he was once confined to his office by a puff adder positioned outside his door.  Dr. Lardner is a citizen of both the United States and Ireland.
