On top of that, I continue to serve the staff on the UMB campus that we represent under shared governance. I believe that the Staff Senate has made significant contributions over the years and it is my goal to see that we continue to be an avenue for staff to voice their issues, concerns and ideas. We, in turn, will insure that the correct person, office or entity on campus is made aware of issues that affect the staff on the UMB campus. The University of Maryland, Baltimore is an excellent institution to conduct research, patient care and teaching. Our exempt, non-represented nonexempt staff and the Contingent II employees on campus are the most important element of the work force, they make things run around here and they deserve the best representation a group like the Staff Senate can provide.
