Event Services
Please consider the following when requesting space within the Southern Management Corporation Campus Center:
- Events will not be scheduled to begin before or to run longer than the Event Hours listed below.
This includes any time you may need for set-up, registration, clean-up, etc.- Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
- Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
- Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- The SMC Campus Center houses a variety of flexible, attractive meeting, conference and banquet rooms. Check out the Room Information page for more information regarding layouts, capacities, a/v capabilities, etc. All capacities and layouts listed are at maximum capacity. Please be aware that if you choose to add any additional tables, the capacities will decrease.
- The Room Availability Grid displays the reserved and free rooms within the SMC Campus Center by individual days. Please keep in mind that the fact that a room appears empty does not guarantee that the room is available for your booking request.
- Wireless internet is available on all floors and rooms within the SMC Campus Center. Campus wireless instructions for UM Faculty & Staff can be found here and instructions for currently enrolled UM students can be found here. Temporary wireless login instructions are provided for guests in reserved spaces to use for the duration of their event.
- Are there fees associated with use? In most cases, there will be no charge for use of a room for a function organized by and for UM students, faculty and/or staff conducting University business during approved event hours. For all other reservations, a price quote can be obtained by contacting Shannon Willett Kelly, Director of Events.
- Advertising Your Event: Once a room has been confirmed, you may advertise your SMC Campus Center event on the Digital Display TV's throughout the building. Directions on how to size and submit a Digital Display are found on our website under About Us.
