Learn more about the Policy and Procedure Library
Welcome to the newly combined Policy and Procedure Library!
This library contains Universitywide policy and procedures for UMB as well as links to University System of Maryland policies. Additional information regarding school resources can be found on the left navigation. Department or unit-specific policies or procedures will remain at those apprioriate levels.
The enhanced search features offer several ways to find the policy or procedure relevant to your needs. As with the previous system, a simple search can be made using keywords. Users also have access to an Index Search. The Index Search allows users to sort by keyword, date, unit, type, or leadership.
Other upcoming features will inlcude subscription services, a satisfaction survey, and interrelated links to procedures and policies.
This library is a central resource with enhanced features designed as part of the 2011-2016 startegic planning cycle. As part of the last strategic plan, co-chairs Anthony Bibbo, MBA, senior administrator, Department of Pediatrics, School of Medicine and John Jensen, assistant vice president, Central Administrative Support Services, directed the effort for a centralized resource of standard operating procedures for business processes that was coordinated by Shannon Dawkins Wrenn, JD. Wrenn was recently appointed director of the Office of University Policy and Procedure under the direction of Roger Ward, JD, MPA, chief accountability officer, vice president, operations and planning. This project is a credit to the many stakeholders and subject matter experts that assisted with coordination and vital feedback.
