Services

Special Events Coverage

• Public Safety will provide Police and Security Officer coverage for special events on a chargeback basis.
• Police Officer time is charged at $40 an hour and Security Officer time is charged at $23 an hour.
• May be payable by Check, Money Order, or eUMB Financials.
• Request your special event.

Lost I.D. or Card Access Questions 

• Report lost or stolen I.D. Badge/access card to University Police at 410 / 706-6882.
• If your card has been found, the card will be forwarded to the One Card office.
• For access questions such as your card not working properly call Lou Davis at x6-5491 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
• On nights or weekends call x6-6882 or you can email upcardaccess@police.umaryland.edu.

Escort Services

• Call Police Communications Operator: 410 / 706-6882.
• Police Escort Van (see above) runs from 6:00 p.m. to 12:45 a.m., 7 days a week.
• Walking escorts within the campus area are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Lost or Found Property

• Call 410 / 706-6882. Arrangements will be made to have a police officer respond to your location in order that an appropriate report may be taken.

Recovered Property

• May be obtained from the Pine Street Police Station. Bring proof of ownership and some form of personal identification.
• Be prepared to give a verbal or written description of the property.
• Owner has one year and 31 days to claim property.
• Contact  410 / 706-6882 for releasing of property.

Fingerprinting

• Make an appointment (410 / 706-3573) Monday through Friday between 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
• All fingerprints are preformed from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays only.
• All parties must bring the following items with them prior to being fingerprinted: drivers license or state identification card, naturalization card if the party is not a US citizen, socia security card, and a letter of request stating the reason for the individual being fingerprinted and their method of payment.
• Fee: $15.00 per card per person payable by check, money order, or EUMB.
