The University has a link on the HR site which offers opportunities for Staff to volunteer both for activities on and off campus.

The Staff Senate is still collecting used cell phones for Cell Phones for Soldiers (locations of drop off sites)

For more information about the projects the Staff Senate supports or have supported.

The University of Maryland has collected information on discounts for daycare, car rentals, hotels, cell phones, and United Buying Service - a free service available for employees to purchase automobiles, light trucks, and home furnishings.

The UMB Staff Senate is more involved than ever and we continue to want to hear from our Staff on issues that we can bring to the table for discussion and resolution. If you have any issues that you would like us to address, please email the Staff Senate at ssenate@umaryland.edu or one of the Senators.

As part of our on-going commitment to serve, the UM Staff Senate Community Outreach Committee is asking for your on-going commitment as well in supporting the needs of the Ronald McDonald House.  The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Baltimore, Inc. cares for 36 families each and every day.  Gift cards are especially ideal because they enable the staff of RMH to provide whatever families need while they are stating at the House.  Please contact Jean Marie Roth for more information on how you can help.

The Staff Senate sponsors many outreach efforts in and around campus. For more information about the projects we support or have supported.
