Eid Dinner Wednesday November 28 @ 6 PM in MSTF Atrium

We would appreciate volunteers to help with any of the tasks, but especially set up, serving food, and clean up. 

 at UMBC:

Next Monday, November 19th, there will be a lecture and panel discussion with guest speakers Brother Yusha Evans and Imam Mahmoud Abdelhady. It will be at 5 PM-7:30 PM in the University Center room 312. Brother Yusha will talk about his conversion to Islam and Imam Mahmoud will discuss implications of being a Muslim. There will be a Q & A session and refreshments will be served inshallah.

Be sure to attend this very important event, and don't forget to invite your non-Muslim and Muslim friends as well.

Eid Dinner:

• The dinner will be held in the last week of November (either the 27th or the 29th)
• Topic for the event is Hajj
• We need help with advertising, decorating, set-up, and clean-up

Halaqah/MSSA Meeting

• Oct 13 @ 7:00
• InshaAllah, we are trying to get a speaker for this event

Fasting

• InshaAllah, once a month we will assign a day for us to fast (and break our fast) as a group
• Dinner will be held at local restaurants
• Suggestions are welcome!

InshaAllah, the Eid dinner is coming up soon and we are going to need as much help as we can get for this event.

Halaqa - Oct 13 @ 7:00 15 th floor, University Suites, 518 West Fayette St, Baltimore, MD 21201 

(entrance is on the north side of Fayette between Green and Paca across from Westminster Church)

Chai and Cookies on Friday, October 26 at 7 PM

Inshallah, on Friday, October 26th, the MSSA will be having a cookies & chai (tea) night open to all.  This is a good opportunity for us to get together socially and meet new faces.  We will get together around 7 PM at Emmad Sheikh's place, whose address is 1044 W. Lombard Street, Baltimore, MD.  There is plenty of free street parking available, and is located around the corner from the new UMAB Biotech center located on Baltimore Street.  Please feel free to bring family and friends. For more information UMB.MSSA@gmail.com
