Thirty-five percent of the children in Cecil County public schools have dental problems and they aren't being seen by dentists, because there are too few. It was identified by a 33 member panel of Cecil County health experts as the number one problem in the County. That led to a new partnership between the UM Dental School, Union Hospital (in Elkton and Perryville), and Cecil College which will start teaching dental hygienists in cooperation with the UM Dental School. |
