Meet the Staff

Courtney J. Jones
Courtney J. Jones began her career at the University of Maryland, Baltimore as the Assistant Director of Student Services in January of 2011.  She became the Director of Interprofessional Service-Learning when the department was created in December 2011.  In her current role Courtney is charged with developing, implementing and sustaining a comprehensive interprofessional service-learning programs.  In addition to service-learning programming, Courtney oversees the Diversity Celebrations, the Safe Space Program, the President's Student Leadership Institute and the President's Symposium & White Paper Project.

Reina Arai Pomeroy
Program Management Specialist
Reina Arai Pomeroy joined the ISLSI staff in June 2012 upon graduating from the School of Social Work in the previous month.  She comes with extensive experience in event planning, program management and community outreach.  Reina will manage the President's Student Leadership Institute and assist with the management of service-learning programming.

Alexis McClellan
AmeriCorps VISTA
Alexis recently graduated with a BS in Biology and a minor in Communications.  She will be dedicating the next year of her life to helping to address poverty in Baltimore City.  She will work to strengthen current relationships in the community, as well as forming new ones.  After her year of service, Alexis plans to attend medical school.
