Major Features of Exchange 2007:

  1. Outlook Anywhere
  2. Autodiscover – used to setup and configure Outlook 2007 profiles automatically.  For an overview of the Autodiscover service, click here
  3. Increased Storage Space - 2 GB
  4. Supports Outlook Client Cache Mode – local workstation needs to have 2 GB of storage space to save local copy email

Exchange 2007 and Outlook
To take the full advantage of Exchange 2007, CITS recommends the rollout of Office 2007 to all desktops. Although Exchange 2007 will work with Outlook 2003, certain features in Exchange 2007 requires Outlook 2007.  For a feature comparison Between Outlook 2003, Office Outlook 2007, and Outlook Web Access 2007, click here.
