Users can access Blackboard from the website http://blackboard.umaryland.edu. Blackboard is the courseware management system that the University of Maryland Baltimore uses for web-enhanced and web-based courses. On July 28, 2009, the Campus Blackboard system joined the host of campus systems utilizing the myUMB ID for authentication. Your myUMB ID is the same ID you use today to authenticate to such systems as SURFS, myUMB Mail, myUMB Portal, COEUS and Mediasite. After this change, you will no longer be able to use your existing Blackboard ID and password to log in to Blackboard, but must use your myUMB ID and password instead.
