Users can access Accellion from the following website: https://securexfer.umaryland.edu. The Accellion Secure File Transfer Appliance provides a secure way to send large files to recipients both inside and outside the University. Rather than using an email account to transfer or receive very large attachments, individuals can use Accellion to transfer these files. Users upload files to the Accellion Secure File Transfer Appliance and then send out messages to individuals with a link to the file or files stored in Accellion. Aside from saving storage space in individual email accounts, using Accellion to transfer large files will reduce the load on campus email servers. Accellion is available for use by University faculty, staff, students, and affiliates with active myUMB Directory Accounts.
