The internet cache consists of pictures, sound, and other files downloaded by your computer when you visit a website. 

These stored files help your computer load web pages quicker the next time you visit a website, but problems may arise if your computer has old information stored.    Clearing the internet cache can help to resolve some of these issues.

1. From the Tools menu select Internet Option. 
2. On the General tab, in the Browsing history section click on the button labeled "Delete...".
3. In the Delete Browsing History window, click on the "Delete files..." button to clear the temporary internet files.
4. After the temporary internet files have been cleared, click on the "Delete cookies..." button to clear cookies. 
5. Click on the "Close" button.
6. Click on the "OK" button. 
7. Close all instances of Internet Explorer 7 for the changes to take effect.

1. Open Internet Explorer
2. From the Tools menu select Internet Option.

4. In the Delete Browsing History window, select:

• Temporary Internet files
• Cookies

5. Click on the “Delete” button.
6. Another  window may briefly appear while the system deletes the Temporary Internet files and the cookies. 
7. When the progress window disappears, click on the "OK" button to close the Internet Options window.
8. Close all instances of Internet Explorer 8 for the changes to take effect.

How do I clear my cache in Internet Explorer 9?

1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. In the upper right hand corner of the browser, click the icon that looks like a small gear which is the "Tools" button.
3. Click the "Internet Options" link.
4. In the browsing history section, click the "Delete" button.
5. Place a check mark in boxes for the data that you wish to delete. At this point, you select the type of data you want to clear.
6. After selecting the data you want to remove, press the "Delete" button.
7. Click the "ok" button on the window opened in step 4 above. You should see a notice at the bottom of the page stating that the selected browsing history has been cleared.
8. This task should now be complete. If not, review and repeat the steps as needed.

1. From the Tools menu click on the options "Clear Private Data". 
2. Select the "Cache" and "Cookies" checkboxes, deselect all other check boxes if possible.
3. Click the "Clear Private Data Now" button. 
4. Close all instances of Mozilla Firefox for the changes to take effect.
