What is the proper way to shut down Reflection for the HP? Top

The HP application should be exited completely before exiting Reflection. Always exit the HP application by hitting 'F8' until you get to the application's main screen. Then hit 'E' to exit your HP session. Once you see the disconnect message ( e.g. CPU=6. Connect=1. WED, FEB 7, 2001, 3:16 PM. <Your 'VT-MGR' connection has terminated> you can then exit Reflection. Improper shutdown (e.g. file/exit, hitting the Reflection window 'x') can cause Reflection to stop working. The next time Reflection is started, you may not get a UMAB2 prompt.

What do I do if I cannot get a UMAB2 logon prompt? Top

This is most likely caused by improper shutdown of Reflection. It is easy to correct. Just do the following:

Hit 'ALT M'. This will display the mode function keys.

Remove all '*' in the function keys except for REMOTE MODE. The function keys toggle the '*' on and off.

Hit 'ALT U'. This will display the default user function keys.

Use your mouse and touch on 'File' and then roll down to the first 'Save' choice.

Hit Enter on the main keyboard and you should get a UMAB2 prompt.
