| CHHS Citizen's Emergency Response Tool Kit The University of Maryland Center for Health and Homeland Security presents the Citizen's Emergency Response Tool Kit. The Tool Kit is designed to educate and assist the public by organizing and linking to sites that answer questions citizens may have in the event of a natural disaster or terrorist attack. This compilation of natural hazard and homeland security web sites is aimed at increasing emergency preparedness and combating the unreasoned fear that often causes some of the most damaging disaster consequences. The Center hopes that by making this information available, communities and individuals will be more prepared to deal with and recover from natural and man-made emergencies.
