State Scholarships

State scholarships are available to students who are classified as residents of Maryland state by the Office of the Registrar at UMB.  Students should apply for the scholarships in addition to filing a FAFSA by March 1.

Maryland Higher Education Commission (MHEC)

MHEC awards the following:

• Senatorial Scholarship
• Delegate Scholarship
• Developmental Disability Scholarship
• Janet L. Hoffman Loan Repayment Plan
• Loan Assistance Repayment Primary Care Services
• Maryland Dent-Care Loan Assistance Repayment Plan
• Nursing Scholarship
• Physical and Occupational Therapist and Assistance Grant Program
• Tuition Reduction for Non-Resident Nursing Students
• Veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq Conflicts Scholarship
• William Donald Schaefer Scholarship

Professional School Scholarship

Applications for the Professional School Scholarship are distributed through the UMB Student Financial Aid Office and are due March 1 of the preceding academic year.  Students are notified by their respective schools when applications are available.
