Cost of Attendance

The Cost of Attendance (COA) is determined by a student's program type, enrollment, residency status, and living arrangement. The COA includes both direct (billed) and indirect (not billed) costs associated with a student's program.

Students can view their Cost of Attendance by logging into SURFS, navigating to the Financial Aid Dashboard, and selecting the Award Offer tab.

Cost of Attendance Components:
  • Tuition
  • Mandatory fees
  • Books and supplies
  • Computer fees
  • Student health insurance (for information about waiving insurance coverage, visit Student Health Insurance)
  • Malpractice insurance
  • Living expenses
  • Transportation allowance
  • Fees associated with the Federal Direct Stafford loan and the Federal Direct Grad PLUS loan
Living Expense Allocations

We use three standard costs for living: off campus (which includes Fayette Square), on campus (Pascault Row), and with parents. Below are the monthly allocations for the items included as part of the living expense component of the COA.
