As part of our mission to empower students to make confident financial decisions, we provide educational programming opportunities which are open to all students, free of charge. Registration is required and refreshments will be served at lunch hour events.

Investing 101: Basics of Investing
February 12 | noon - 1 p.m. | SMC Campus Center Room 351
What are stocks? How do they work? What is the Dow Jones? How do bonds make money? If you need answers to questions like these, stop by Investing 101. Over lunch you will learn the basics of investing, view an online stock trading demo and see how to begin investing using online resources. RSVP via Eventbrite
File Your Taxes for Free with the Baltimore CASH Campaign
March 4 and March 6 | 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. | HS/HSL Room LL05 (Ground floor)
Students and staff are welcome to prepare their taxes online and on-campus for free. All filing fees will be waived for individuals and households with income under $58,000 for the 2013 calendar year. Experts from the Baltimore CASH Campaign will be available to assist individuals in completing IRS Form 1040 only. No appointments necessary, arrival by 2 p.m. is strongly recommended as the event will end at 3 p.m. RSVP via Eventbrite
Note: Individuals who are considered to be a "resident alien" for tax purposes can complete the Form 1040.
