SCHOOL CODE:  002104-00

Stafford Loan

The University participates in both the FFELP (Federal Family Education Loan Program) and the Federal Direct Loan Program  to provide full loan access to all students.  Current FFEL borrowers must remain with the FFEL program using their current lender/servicer just as current DL borrowers must remain with the Direct Loan program.

If you have prior Stafford loans and do not remember your prior lender/servicer, you can access this information at http://www.nslds.ed.gov/.  To access this system, you must use your SSN, first two letters of your last name, date of birth and your FAFSA pin number.

Prior Federal Direct Loan borrowers will remain with the Federal Direct Loan program.  These borrowers must do the Direct Loan Entrance quiz and confirm that their Master Promissory Note is valid.

If you have NO prior Stafford Loans, you must choose between the FFEL and the DL loan program.  The U.S. Department of Education offers a comparison of both programs here:

http://studentaid.ed.gov/PORTALSWebApp/students/english/studentloans.jsp

Once you have decided which program you will use, you must complete the Borrower Disclosure Form submitting only those forms that pertain to the specific loan program you have selected.
