RAVEN IS A
Soon the eUMB Project Team will begin to introduce the campus to RAVEN DATA.
What is RAVEN? It’s an acronym for a big idea!
Reporting And Viewing ENterprise DATA is what RAVEN is all about. The eUMB
Team has been developing a new tool to allow campus users to better report on and
view financial and grant data in our new PeopleSoft system that is currently under
development. The tool will allow users
to see information about their corner of the world in ways never before
possible. Data can be organized by
Department, Program, Fund Source, Expense Type, Project or Grant Type, and
perhaps other ways we haven’t thought of yet!
The real power of the PeopleSoft system is in its ability to “slice and
dice” data in ways convenient to both large groups and persons with unique
requirements. RAVEN will be one of the
principle tools used to exploit this capability. Look for more information on RAVEN soon in e-mails
and on this site. And don’t worry, the
Project Team will offer a wonderful training program to show you how to unleash
the power of eUMB Financials and
Grants through RAVEN.
