This year we held our 17th annual Managers Retreat at the Donaldson Brown Center. As a fast-growing company, with over 80 employees that attended the retreat and counting, the Donaldson Brown Center has been more than accommodating to fit our growing needs.
Your conference space has always been exceptional, especially when we have six classes going on at one time, and the lodging is fantastic with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms upstairs to make our one- to two-nights stay feel like home! And the food! Virginia and the kitchen staff are absolutely amazing! I don't know how they feed that many people, and it tastes like it was made just for you as if you ordered at a five-star restaurant! Absolutely DELICIOUS!
The grounds are spectacular, but your staff is by far the main reason why we keep coming back time and time again! It is ALWAYS something that we look forward to!
Even though our retreats are considered "work," your staff and the mansion within itself and the beautiful surroundings really make you feel like you are on vacation!
Thank you so much for all you do, and we are looking forward to next year as always!

The idyllic setting and hard-working staff at the Donaldson Brown Center made our wedding day one of the best days of our lives.
The bride and her bridesmaids used one of the master suites to dress and have their hair styled, the groomsmen congregated in the billiards room, and our guests were able to roam the beautiful grounds. Some found a nice seat in the mansion's library, while others were drawn to the cliffs and views over the Susquehanna River.
Our ceremony was perfect on one side of the lawn overlooking the river — complete with bald eagles flying overhead during our vows! — and the reception flowed flawlessly to the other side of the lawn, with dinner, dessert, and drinks staged in the house with another bar set up under the big oak tree. Our photos were taken around the stately manor, complete with a picture-perfect sunset over the Susquehanna.
Even today when viewing our wedding photos, friends ask where we were, and invariably they are surprised when we answer, "Cecil County, Maryland"! Most importantly, the staff and management at the Donaldson Brown Center were diligent, eager to serve us, and great to work with, and we owe our happy day to them.
