In the Spotlight
The university recognized the International Student Association with a 2002 Diversity Achievement Award at the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Commemoration Program. The awards acknowledge faculty members, staff, and students for their achievements in diversity and inclusiveness. Since its creation in 1980, the ISO has encouraged the growth of subgroups that invite the campus community to celebrate the various cultures of international students.
