Web Collaboration
In order for the University of Maryland website to have a consistent look and feel, navigation, and flow, there are certain templates and standards that should be followed. Please view these web standards when developing websites for the University of Maryland campus.

Numerous groups across campus are involved in web tasks, including content creation, design and development, server administration, online course preparation, strategy, and policy.

Each of the seven schools and the administrative units are responsible for maintaining the content for their own web pages. Other campus-wide web development is accomplished through a collaborate effort:

  • Web application development (using Coldfusion), campus-wide web design & development, and server administration are the responsibility of the Center for Information Technology Services Web Development Department.

  • The content and design of the UMB homepage, OEA pages, and the web page for the Office of the President are the responsibility of the Office of External Affairs.
