Purchasing Information for Mathematica for Personal Use

Paid faculty and staff of the University of Maryland Baltimore:  Software can be purchased and installed only on machines that are owned by the individual.  Software can be purchased in person by the individual at the Software Licensing Office in the HS/HSL, and paid for with a Journal Entry, cash or check, or can be purchased by US Mail, and paid for by check.

Student Purchases:  Currently registered students of the University of Maryland Baltimore only. Software can be purchased and installed only on machines that are owned by the student.  Software can be purchased in person by the student at the Software Licensing Office in the HS/HSL, and paid for with cash or by check, or can be purchased by US Mail, and paid for by check.   


Where to purchase?

Paid faculty/staff (paid by the State of Maryland) and students (registered) can purchase software for personal use in one of two ways: 

  • In Person
  • By Mail

Purchases are made at the Software Licensing Office in the Health Sciences and Human Services Library:

Payment methods:

You must show a UMB One Card at time of purchase.  You must be an active employee (paid by the State of Maryland) or currently registered student.

Returns/exchanges are not accepted.  All software sales are FINAL.  We cannot ensure the software has not been installed or copied, and therefore cannot accept returns.
