Paid faculty and staff of the University of Maryland Baltimore: Software can be purchased and installed only on machines that are owned by the individual. Software can be purchased in person by the individual at the Circulation Desk of the HS/HSL, and paid for with credit card, cash or check, or can be purchased by US Mail, and paid for with credit card or check. Software may be kept by the individual even after they leave the University. Microsoft media is encrypted for TWO INSTALLATIONS only on ONE machine, and has a special keycode that cannot be replaced if lost or oversubscribed
Student Purchases: Currently enrolled students of the University of Maryland Baltimore only. Software can be purchased and installed only on machines that are owned by the student, and may be used for any purpose. Software can be purchased in person by the student at the Circulation Desk, and paid for with credit card, cash or check, or can be purchased by US Mail, and paid for with credit card or check. Software must be uninstalled by the student after they leave the University unless the student has graduated from the university. Microsoft Student Select titles are encrypted for TWO INSTALLATIONS only on ONE machine, and have a special keycode that cannot be replaced if lost or oversubscribed.
Where to purchase?
Paid faculty/staff (paid by the State of Maryland) and students (registered) can purchase software for personal use in one of two ways:

You must show a UMB One Card at time of purchase. You must be an active employee (paid by the State of Maryland) or currently registered student.
Returns/exchanges are not accepted. All software sales are FINAL. We cannot ensure the software has not been installed or copied, and therefore cannot accept returns.
There is a $5 shipping and handling fee for purchasing by mail.

Step 2: Payment
If you are paying by credit card, please download and complete the credit card authorization form. Fax the appropriate Student Agreement forms and the credit card authorization form to the software licensing office. Our fax number is (410) 706-0545.
If you would like to pay by check, mail the signed student agreement form back to us with your signed check, as well as this check authorization form. Our mailing address is:

Once we receive your signed student agreement forms with payment, we will verify your information against our database and mail out the software to you by the next business day.
