TO ANSWER AN INCOMING CALL:

Lift Handset, Depress Speaker button, or Depress Line button.

TO TERMINATE A CALL:

1. If using receiver, hang up.

2. If using hands free, depress Speaker button or Release button.

TO PLACE AN OUTSIDE CALL:

1. Depress line button for desired line.

2. Dial "9".

3. Dial number.

TO PLACE AN ON-CAMPUS CALL:

1. Depress line button for desired line.

2. Dial 5 digit extension.

TO PLACE AN INTERCOM CALL:

1. Depress ICM button.

2. Dial 3 digit station number.

3. For Voice Announce Call, Dial "*" after the 3 digit station number.

NOTE: Stations must be within the same DS to intercom.

TO PLACE A CALL ON HOLD:

Depress Hold button - The appropriate line button will start flashing at a steady pace.

If a call is placed on "HOLD", and you intercom a 2nd party and get no answer, DO NOT depress the Speaker button or hang up. You must first depress the "RELEASE" button to cancel the intercom call.

TO RETRIEVE THE LAST CALL PUT ON HOLD:

Depress button for desired line or depress Hold button again.

NOTE: Calls on hold, as a reminder, will ring back every 60 seconds.

TO TRANSFER A CALL:

1. Depress Transfer button.

2. Listen for dial tone.

3. Dial 5 digit extension number.

4. Wait for one ring, then hang up or stay on the line to announce the call.

5. If busy, depress transfer button twice to return to original caller.

TO PAGE A GROUP OF PHONES:

1. Depress ICM button.

2. Dial 401 and speak clearly.

CONFERENCE CALL:

1. Place call to first party.

2. Depress Transfer button.

3. Listen for dial tone.

4. Place call to second party.

5. Depress Transfer button (All 3 parties connected).

6. If busy, depress Transfer button twice to return to original caller.

LAST NUMBER REDIAL:

Depress Redial button.

SAVED NUMBER REDIAL:

1. While on an Active call, depress Function button, dial 51.

2. To dial number again, depress Function button, dial 51.

PROGRAM PERSONAL SPEED DIAL (TO KEY PAD):

1. Depress Function button.

2. Dial "1" on key pad.

3. Dial any directory number from 500 to 509.

4. Depress button under "Show" on display. (It will say "Empty" if not programmed. If number has been programmed, it will show the number.)

5. Depress button under "Change" on display.

6. Dial telephone number to be stored (For off-campus lines you must start with "9" and area code).

7. Depress button under "Save" on display.

8. Repeat steps 3 through 7 for additional numbers.

9. Depress Release button when finished.

HOW TO USE PERSONAL SPEED DIAL NUMBER (ON KEY PAD):

1. Dial the 3 digit directory number (From 500 to 509).

2. The number will be speed dialed.

HOW TO CHANGE PERSONAL SPEED DIAL NUMBER (ON KEY PAD):

1. Depress Function button.

2. Dial "1" on key pad.

3. Dial the code (From 500 to 509).

4. Depress button under "Show" on display.

5. Depress button under "Change" on display.

6. Type in new number.

7. Depress button under "Save" on display.

8. Hit Release button.

FOR "ONE" TOUCH SPEED DIAL:

1. Depress Function button.

2. Dial "#", then the number 3 on key pad.

3. Dial available button to be used.

4. Depress button under "CHG" on display.

5. Depress button under "DIR" on display.

6. Enter any directory number to be stored from 500 to 509.

7. Depress button under "Save" on display.

8. Repeat steps 3 through 7 for additional numbers.

9. Depress Release button when finished.

TO ASSIGN FEATURES TO BUTTONS:

1. Depress Function button.

2. Dial "#", then the number 3 on key pad.

3. Dial available button to be used.

4. Depress button under "CHG" on display.

5. Depress button under "FEAT" on display.

6. Enter Feature Code from chart.

7. Depress button under "Save" on display.

8. Repeat steps 3 through 7 for additional numbers.

9. Depress Release button when finished.

TO SET PRIME LINE:

1. Go off hook (Lift hand receiver) to line to be selected as Prime and note the 3 digit trunk number on display (Always begins with "7").

2. Depress Function button.

3. Dial 95 on key pad.

4. Depress button under "TRUNK" on display.

5. Enter 3 digit Trunk number from step 1.

6. Depress button under "Save" on display.

7. Depress Release button.

LOCK YOUR PHONE (No calls out):

1. Depress Function button, dial 97, and enter password (Initially 0000).

2. Depress button under "YES" on display.

UNLOCK YOUR PHONE:

1. Depress Function button, dial 97, and enter password.

2. Depress button under "NO" on display.

VOLUME CONTROLS:

1. To adjust Ring Volume, depress "VOL" up or "VOL" down.

2. To adjust Speaker Volume, depress any active line button or ICM, then depress "VOL" up or "VOL" down.

3. To adjust Receiver Volume, lift receiver, then depress "VOL" up or "VOL" down.

DO NOT DISTURB (DND):

1. To activate or deactivate DND, depress Function button, dial 4.

2. Outside calls will not ring and intercom calls receive a busy signal.

CALL WAITING TONE:

When on a call, a tone will replace the ring for other lines programmed to ring on phone.
