New Wellness Hub Website Offers Information, Points and Prizes

The CITS Web Development Group has spent several months working with Flav Lilly, Assistant VP for Academic Affairs, in order to develop a new Wellness Hub website. The new site, located at, incorporates dynamic features and functionality in order to provide faculty, staff and students at UMB with informative news, events, programs, evaluations, account management, and its own awards and incentive program.

The site includes a customized events calendar that is linked to a backend registration system, so that as visitors register for events it will track the number of registrants as well as seats remaining, and also print out certificates upon completion.  Attendees can create their own personal accounts on the Wellness Hub’s website in order to manage the activities and programs they have completed, in addition to keeping track of incentives and points they are earning.  As participants gain points, they can redeem them for various incentives and prizes that the Wellness Hub staff will be adding to the system.  Participants can also complete self-assessments and provide feedback on the programs being offered using online evaluations which the Wellness Hub staff will review in order to manage and improve future programs.

In addition to the programs, services and awards incentive program, the website will also utilize social media venues such as Facebook, Twitter, and Wordpress, and even include a searchable video catalog of YouTube videos.  These tools will enable the Wellness Hub staff to improve how they communicate and interact with the faculty, staff and students regarding news, events and programs.
