One Less Logon to Remember - Plans for myUMBid Authentication to Blackboard

CITS continues to work at reducing the number of user IDs and passwords needed to access campus systems by increasing the use of the common logon known as myUMB ID or myUMBid.  Blackboard will be the next major application that is being reconfigured to make use of the myUMBid

Anticipated Project Schedule

April – May:Continue technical tasks and test authentication to Blackboard using the myUMBid via Shibboleth
June – Aug:Pilot select Blackboard courses during Summer Semester using the new authentication method
Cutover to Production:Work with schools to identify appropriate time/date to cutover to production prior to FALL 2009 Semester
