ASC Help Desk Goes 24 x 7
CITS has expanded campus Help Desk services to provide coverage 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. When calling 410-706-HELP during normal business hours (Monday – Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.), users will continue to reach the ASC Help Desk staff. Outside of normal business hours, users will be transferred to support representatives who are trained to assist with Blackboard (including change requests for Blackboard passwords), and general connectivity issues with systems, browsers, etc. Users will also be able to report non-critical issues such as password change requests (for e-mail, SURFS, Directory, etc.) or requests for account administration (create accounts, name changes, etc.) to be addressed promptly on the next business day. If a user reports a critical system outage (such as the network, web, Blackboard or phone system), the support representative will contact the designated system administrator immediately to begin the process of resolving the outage.
In addition to calling 410-706-HELP, users also have round-the-clock access to the UMB Online Support Center. The Support Center allows users to search the Knowledge Bases, utilize Live Chat, and submit their own Help tickets.
