Center for Information Technology Services

Newly created Center for Information Technology Services

Welcome to the newly created Center for Information Technology Services, which includes the organizations formerly called, Campus Communications and Information Technology Infrastructure (CCITI), Administrative Computing (ACT), and the Human Resources, Payroll, and Financial systems project (eUM).  The name reflects the central coordinating function of the organization, the nature of our work, and most importantly, that excellence in service to the UM community is our primary mission.

The Center for Information Technology Services is intently focused on delivering needed technology and providing excellent service and support.  We welcome the challenges with making advances in technology, and believe that the developments in technology will help showcase academic offerings as well as improve services and operations of the University of Maryland.  By taking advantage of information resources, technology, and computing and by employing the right technologies for UM, the University will be in a better position to remain competitive and meet the strategic goals of each school and the University as a whole.  Our goal is to use technology as a catalyst to raise the visibility and prominence of the faculty, the schools, and the University.  The technology initiatives presently underway and planned for the future will improve our capability to serve faculty, students, staff, administrators and alumni of the University of Maryland.
