CITS receives award for contributions toward National Technical Assistance & Reporting System


On November 21, 2013 Chris Phillips accepted an award on behalf of CITS in recognition of the support and partnership CITS has provided the Innovation Institute in developing systems and capabilities.  Specifically mentioned were the Web Team, Management, the Database Group, the Systems Group, the Network and Communications staff,  and the Directory Services Office.  The award was presented at a celebration of the launching of a National Technical Assistance and Reporting System that will be utilized to train, certify, and assist social workers who work with children all over the country.  Other offices receiving awards were ORD, Procurement Services, Human Resource Services, and General Counsel.  The audience included Dean of Social Work, Rick Barth, as well as representatives from Maryland Department of Education, Department of Juvenile Services, The Child Welfare Academy, and colleagues from Georgetown University.  Michelle Zabel, director of the Institute, described how dramatically their fortunes (and systems) changed for the better when they started partnering with CITS.
